RunScribe needed an iOS application that could connect to multiple RunScribe pods, sync their data, and send it to the cloud for deeper analysis on the web dashboard. I designed and developed the native iOS and Android app experience, along with the proprietary secure wireless protocol connecting the pods to the phone over Bluetooth LE, and managed the mobile roadmap end-to-end — writing technical specs and design briefs that translated requirements into shipped features.

The primary responsibility of the mobile app was syncing and uploading RunScribe device data, but we also built a simple dashboard so runners could see their run history at a glance.

Device setup and customization workflows in the iOS app made it fast and easy to pair, name, and configure each RunScribe pod.

RunScribe introduced new metrics to the running world. We designed new visualizations for symmetry, efficiency, shock, and motion so runners could dig deeper into their biomechanics.
